Barbajean is a stylish, art-deco-inspired restaurant nestled in the heart of Had-Dingli, Malta. Helmed by young chef-patron Jean Pierre Dingli, the restaurant offers a vibrant, Mediterranean-inspired Maltese menu paired with creative cocktails, all served within a space that’s as bold as the cuisine itself.
To design and produce a bespoke summer menu that captured the restaurant's distinct personality and culinary direction. The project also sought to visually highlight the collaboration between Barbajean and The Society Agency, adding an artistic flair to both branding and guest experience.
We worked closely with the chef-patron at Barbajean to bring the brand's creative vision to life, combining design, strategy, and storytelling:
• Conceptualised the aesthetic direction of the new summer menu, ensuring alignment with Barbajean’s art deco interiors and Mediterranean ethos.
• Designed and produced a custom summer menu, balancing visual appeal with functionality and legibility for guests.
• Developed unique business cards in a playful “chewing gum” format, an iconic signature of The Society Agency, to underscore the creative collaboration.
• Produced social media content to promote the launch of the new menu, combining visuals, storytelling, and design to drive engagement across platforms.
